We reinforce bamboo temples with a thin metal core inside — invisible from the outside, but it prevents the most common failure point. Without the core, about 5% of bamboo temples break during normal use. With it, failure drops below 0.5%.

Bamboo frames cost about $6-10 per pair at factory level, depending on complexity and reinforcement method. They sell well in the $35-55 retail range. The key is communicating that they are a natural material — slight variations in grain and color are part of the appeal, not a defect.

Biodegradable vs Recyclable Packaging

This is where a lot of brands stumble. They order eco-friendly sunglasses and then put them in a plastic case wrapped in shrink wrap.
